General Outpatient (OP) Internships

General Outpatient (OP)

Interns are placed in the OP department and will develop clinical skills in the areas of diagnostic assessment, individual/family/group therapy, clinical documentation, and collaboration with community providers, including school personnel, physicians and outside providers. They may also be trained in The Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC) and have exposure to additional evidence based treatments, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC). Additionally, interns placed in the outpatient department are afforded opportunities to facilitate/co-facilitate a group with supervision provided. These interns participate in weekly individual and group supervision with licensed professionals in the mental health field, are a part of a case review team (CRT), and also receive ongoing guidance from colleagues.
